Plot Synopsis

Each one-hour episode of this three-day, six-part series takes viewers to vastly different parts of our Solar System. First, see breathtaking images of the planets using modern-day, ultra high-tech telescopes and advanced animation. Then, follow NASA experts to Earth's extreme environments -- like Chile's Atacama Desert or Hawaii's volcanoes -- and see how these locations provide valuable insights into how a space traveler might endure drastic climates that shift from 840 degrees in the sun to minus 275 degrees in the shade, crushing gravity, acid smog, and blistering radiation.
