Plot Synopsis

Executive produced by showrunner Carlton Cuse series star John Krasinski. Based on Tom Clancy's character featured in his Ryanverse novels, TOM CLANCY'S JACK RYAN is a one-hour drama series that centers on Jack Ryan, an up-and-coming CIA analyst, who is thrust into a dangerous field assignment for the first time as he uncovers a pattern in terrorist communication that throws him into the center of a treacherous stratagem with a new breed of terrorism that threatens destruction on a global scale. When Jack stumbles upon a suspicious series of bank transfers, his search for answers pulls him from the safety of his desk job and catapults him into a deadly game of cat and mouse throughout Europe and the Middle East, with a rising terrorist figurehead preparing for a massive attack against the US and her allies. Hanin begins to question her husband's affairs after he brings a mysterious outsider into their home. Jack and Greer decode a fresh piece of intel that takes them to Paris and one step closer to the elusive Suleiman. Hanin's husband returns home with a renewed fervor for his secretive mission, leaving her unsure of their family's future. On Friday, August 31, 2018 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Amazon Prime released the entire eight-episode first season of TOM CLANCY'S JACK RYAN.

Prime Video premiered the second season of action-thriller TOM CLANCY'S JACK RYAN on Thursday, October 31, 2019 -- one day earlier than originally scheduled. In the second season, after tracking a potentially suspicious shipment of illegal arms in the Venezuelan jungle, CIA Officer Jack Ryan heads down to South America to investigate. As Jack's investigation threatens to uncover a far-reaching conspiracy, the President of Venezuela launches a counter-attack that hits home for Jack, leading him and his fellow operatives on a global mission spanning the United States, UK, Russia, and Venezuela to unravel the President's nefarious plot and bring stability to a country on the brink of chaos. In addition to John Krasinski as Jack Ryan, the second season also stars Wendell Pierce as James Greer, Noomi Rapace as Harriet 'Harry' Baumann and Michael Kelly as Mike November.

The entire eight-episode third season of TOM CLANCY'S JACK RYAN premiered on Prime Video on Wednesday, December 21, 2022. Season 3 finds Jack Ryan on the run and in a race against time. Jack Ryan is working as a CIA case officer in Rome, when he is tipped off that the Sokol Project, a secret plan to restore the Soviet Empire, is being resurrected more than 50 years after it was thought to have been shut down. Jack embarks on a mission to confirm the intelligence, but things quickly go awry, and he is wrongly implicated in a larger conspiracy. Accused of treason, with a Red Notice out for his arrest, Jack is forced to run from his own government, if he has any hope of uncovering the rogue faction before it's too late. Crisscrossing Europe as he is hunted by former allies and new enemies alike, Jack races against the clock to stop the cascade of destabilizing conflicts from leading to global catastrophe. In addition to Krasinski, also returning for the third season are Wendell Pierce as James Greer and Michael Kelly as Mike November, and joining the cast are new series regulars Nina Hoss as Alena Kovac and Betty Gabriel as Elizabeth Wright.

The six-episode fourth and final season of TOM CLANCY'S JACK RYAN debuts with two installments on Friday, June 30, 2023 on Prime Video. Two episodes drop weekly on Fridays through July 14. Season 4 finds the titular character on his most dangerous mission yet: facing an enemy both foreign and domestic. As the new CIA Acting Deputy Director, Jack Ryan is tasked with unearthing internal corruption, and in doing so, uncovers a series of suspicious black ops that could expose the vulnerability of the country. As Jack and the team investigate how deep the corruption runs, he discovers a far-worse reality -- the convergence of a drug cartel with a terrorist organization -- ultimately revealing a conspiracy much closer to home and testing his belief in the system he has always fought to protect. Season 4 stars John Krasinski as Jack Ryan, Wendell Pierce as James Greer, Michael Kelly as Mike November, and Betty Gabriel as CIA Acting Director Elizabeth Wright, with Abbie Cornish returning as Cathy Mueller. Joining the cast this season are Michael Pena as Domingo Chavez and Louis Ozawa as Chao Fah.
