Plot Synopsis

TINY HOUSE NATION is a one-hour reality series that follows renovation experts John Weisbarth and Zack Giffin, as they travel across the United States to reveal small spaces and the people who live there. Plus, the duo helps new families design and construct their own mini-dream home, as they downsize to spaces no larger than 500 square feet, including tiny houses ranging from a micro-apartment in New York City to a caboose car turned home in Montana. TINY HOUSE NATION returned for its second season on Monday, December 22, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT on FYI. In the Season 2 opener, "264 Sq. Ft. Honeymoon Suite," a Little Rock couple builds a 264 square foot mobile honeymoon pad as they prepare to get married and hit the road as traveling nurses. They want plenty of storage space so they have room for their wedding gifts, and they want a large kitchen so they can cook some homemade meals. But most important of all, John and Zack have to deliver a dream home that can bring these almost newlyweds together in a small space. On Monday, April 13, 2015 at 9pm ET/PT, TINY HOUSE NATION returned with new episodes. In the Season 2 spring premiere, " 576 Sq. Ft. Mississippi Memory Home," a family rebuilds their home after it was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. While they are excited to return to their community, permit issues threaten to shut the whole build down. Plus this family wants an open floor plan with a full dining table to host large family dinners. Zack rises to the challenge with one of his most innovative furniture pieces to date. Season 3 of TINY HOUSE NATION premiered on Saturday, March 26, 2016 from 9-10:30pm ET/PT on FYI. The 90-minute season opener, "276 Sq. Ft. Basketball House," features professional basketball player Matt Bonner, who is used to traveling all around the country for most of the year. The problem is that his family can never really settle into a place because they never know where they'll be off to next. Matt has asked Zack and John to make him the constant house he and his family can enjoy no matter what city they're in. Zack's biggest challenge will be trying to figure out how a 6'10" professional basketball player is going to move around comfortably in the space without hitting his head, and of course how he'll figure in a couple of basketball inspired features for this champion pro baller.

In the season opener, "Tiny Forever After," John and Zack take on a rescue mission in Atlanta, Georgia for Peter and Elizabeth, a couple that is attempting to build their own tiny house. Not only is the couple struggling to finish construction, they are about to get married, change jobs and move to Maine all in a month's time. John and Zack have their work cut out for them--having to complete the home and teach Peter and Elizabeth how to live in tiny harmony before they say, "I do."
