Plot Synopsis

Each episode of this series reveals 10 staggering facts from the hazy backstories of renowned leaders, famous events, and notorious criminals. The full story of history's greatest figures and events are seldom told -- until now -- when the show's host unveils secrets, odd habits, hidden traumas, and even skeletons in the closet. Each 30-minute episode of Season 1, hosted by outspoken historian and author David Eisenbach, highlighted a single historical figure or event, such as: Benjamin Franklin, whose sex drive not only helped win the American Revolution but also helped set the French Revolution in motion -- and was a suspected serial killer; Abraham Lincoln, who held views considered racist today and who had trouble with women and actually enjoyed sleeping with men; Adolf Hitler, who was a child of incest; Pablo Escobar, who helped the U.S. track down Bin Laden; and many other topics like J. Edgar Hoover, Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt, the OK Corral, Caligula, the Mormons, George S. Patton, and the Rat Pack. 10 THINGS YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT returned for its second season on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 9pm ET/PT with a new host, Henry Rollins, and with one-hour episodes instead of 30-minute installments. The second season included these episodes: "Presidential Assassinations," which reveals the most shocking facts surrounding about Presidents who have lost their lives; "The White House," in which Rollins discusses why the main office is oval and why a brothel once operated on the White House grounds; "Founding Fathers," which touches on bitter rivalries, spy games, and bankrupt presidents; "Prohibition," which unveils the crazy and sinister things the government did to get Americans to stop drinking; and many more subjects for which Rollins encounters wild personalities, national treasures, and provocative details.
