Plot Synopsis

TEHRAN is an eight-episode espionage thriller that tells the story of a Mossad hacker-agent, Tamar Rabinyan, who goes deep undercover on a dangerous mission in Tehran that places her -- and everyone around her -- in dire jeopardy. She infiltrates Tehran under a false identity to help destroy Iran's nuclear reactor. But when her mission fails and she's trapped in a new life, Tamar must plan an operation that will place everyone dear to her in jeopardy. TEHRAN had its U.S. premiere on Friday, September 25, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Apple TV+ released the first three episodes of the series. A new episode premiered weekly every Friday through October 30.

Season 2 of TEHRAN premiered on Friday, May 6, 2022, as Apple TV+ released the first two episodes of the new season. A new episode dropped each Friday through June 17. The new season follows Tamar, a Mossad hacker-agent who infiltrates Tehran under a false identity to help destroy Iran's nuclear reactor. But when her mission fails, Tamar must plan an operation that will place everyone dear to her in jeopardy.
