Plot Synopsis

TEEN MOM: YOUNG AND PREGNANT is a one-hour reality series that follows five young women - - Ashley, Brianna, Jade, Kayla, and Lexi -- navigating the complexity of pregnancy and becoming young Gen Z mothers. The moms include:

Ashley (20), who was the typical party girl in Las Vegas, but her life was turned upside down when she and her boyfriend, Bariki (Bar), found out they were having a baby. Ashley and Bar's mom are constantly at odds which not only causes issues within their relationship, but palpable friction between Bar and Ashley's mom.

Brianna (17) and her transgender boyfriend Danae have always had a tumultuous relationship, and during one breakup, Brianna hooked up with an old friend and got pregnant. Now Danae is back in the picture and has promised to raise the baby as his own, but Brianna's mom questions Danae's ability to support her daughter with their on- and off-again relationship.

From an unstable relationship with her parents to her boyfriend Sean, Jade (20) has always taken care of others. Now that she's expecting her first child, she knows that she'll need her parents support more than ever and is concerned that she won't be able to rely on them.

Kayla (18), the girl-next-door, had a rude awakening when she found out she was expecting. Raised by a single mother, Kayla understood the sacrifices and struggles a single parent would face. While the pregnancy wasn't planned, she was excited to have a baby with Stephan, her boyfriend of three years. But Kayla is grappling with the decision to stay in the relationship for the sake of her baby or raise the little one on her own.

Lexi (17) is a small town girl who seemingly had it all going for her -- head cheerleader, a supportive and loving family -- and then she got pregnant by her boyfriend of four years, Kyler. Isolated by her closest friends, the former "it" girl now feels alone and like she is the subject of her small, conservative town's gossip. Will she be able to recover her reputation, or will she forever be known as the good girl gone bad?

On Monday, March 5, 2018 at 8pm ET/PT, MTV premiered "Meet the New Moms," a one-hour special. Hosted by TEEN MOM's Maci Bookout, this special dives into the backstories of each of the five new moms, from teenage life to pregnancy to motherhood. TEEN MOM: YOUNG AND PREGNANT premiered one week later on Monday, March 12 at 10pm. In the series premiere, "Eyes on Me," Kayla finds out news about Stephen. Cheerleader Lexi has to face the crowd with her pregnant belly. Ashley and Bar get heated when Bar insists his mom attend their baby shower. Brianna and Danae try to persuade Brianna's mom to let him move in.

TEEN MOM: YOUNG AND PREGNANT returned with new episodes on Monday, October 15, 2018 from 10pm-Midnight ET/PT. After finally breaking up with Sean, Jade feels like she has a new lease on life, but, unfortunately, she still has to see him regularly. While preparing to move, Brianna worries about how her family -- particularly her grandpa -- will take to her boyfriend. After their rocky past, Stephan stops by to apologize to Kayla's mom as the first step toward building a healthier co-parenting dynamic. Despite Kyler's enthusiasm about moving out of state, Lexi tells her mom she isn't ready to completely uproot herself. Ashley's fiance, Bar, apologizes for his behavior at the party, but she wants him to take concrete steps toward anger management.
On Monday, December 31, 2018 at 10pm ET/PT, MTV premiered the Season 1B reunion of TEEN MOM: YOUNG AND PREGNANT. The moms and their families open up to Angela Simmons and Dr. Joy Bradford about the highs and lows of the past year.
