Plot Synopsis

Based on the DC characters originally written and drawn by Len Wein and Bernie Wrightson, SWAMP THING is a one-hour, live-action drama series that follows CDC investigator Abby Arcane as she investigates what seems to be a deadly swamp-born virus in a small town in Louisiana. Meanwhile, biologist Alec Holland goes missing while investigating in the depths of the swamp and something else rises in his place: Swamp Thing, a mysterious creature born of the swamp's mystical and terrifying secrets. Certain that Alec's disappearance is more than an accident, Abby and Matt venture into the swamp, where she encounters Swamp Thing. Scientist Jason Woodrue comes to Marais. With unexplainable and chilling horrors emerging from the murky marsh, no one is safe. SWAMP THING premiered on Friday, May 31, 2019 at 9am ET/6am PT, as DC Universe released the first episode. New episodes debuted on subsequent Fridays. SWAMP THING had its linear television premiere on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 from 8-9:30pm ET/PT on The CW.
