Plot Synopsis

In Bayou Pigeon, Louisiana, Rick Phillips owns and operates Phillips Seafood, a business that has become the town's center of commerce and social center, where he buys and sells anything the bayou serves up, including alligators, turtles, bullfrogs, crawfish, and everything in between. Rick's a tough owner, one who'll never get the short end of a barter or business deal, but he'd also bend over backward to help a friend or a stranger in need. SWAMP PAWN features Rick, his customers and a number of fishermen and gator hunters, including these patrons in Season 1: father-son fishermen Coy and Shorty Gomez, who spend much of their time arguing, looking for work or hocking anything they can to make a living; Chachie Boy, the best gator hunter in Bayou Pigeon; and husband-and-wife fishing duos Clayton & Joney Daley and Quentin & Jamie Morales, who good-naturedly compete for bragging rights as the best fishers in the bayou. SWAMP PAWN returned for its second season on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 10pm ET/PT on CMT, with Clayton, Joney, Shorty and Coy returning for Season 2, along with these new faces: Rick's wife Patty, whose job is keeping her husband in line; and cousins Austyn and Blake, a younger fishing duo from Season 3 of SWAMP PEOPLE, who playfully take on the old guys. In the season opener, Easter is rapidly approaching and Rick's customers are on the hunt for coveted crustaceans; meanwhile, Coy receives some shocking news related to his health that will heavily impact him and Shorty throughout the season. On Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT, CMT aired the Season 3 premiere of SWAMP PAWN. This 13-episode season is filled with new business ventures, a deep sea fishing trip to the Gulf of Mexico, heartache over the loss of a dear friend, and all the daily comings and goings of Bayou Pigeon during the craziness of crawfish and alligator season. In the season opener, "Swamp Market Crash," a new crawfish season is underway, but when Rick's clients start leaving the business, it could sink his operation. And when Clayton helps Austyn and Blake build new crawfish equipment, they suspect he's up to something -- and refuse to get caught in his trap.

On Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT, CMT debuted a SWAMP PAWN and SWAMP HUNTERS crossover episode. In this special one-hour program, "Wedding Band of Brothers," Dustin and D-Roy (SWAMP HUNTERS) come to the rescue of a fisherman named Nick who has a tendency of getting his boat stuck in the swamp. This time around unfortunately, Nick loses a lot of important items including his wallet and wedding ring. Clayton (SWAMP PAWN) reaches out to Dustin and D-Roy to enlist their help in recovering Nick's prized possessions.
