Plot Synopsis

With the help of his extended family, Dustin Taylor searches for relics in Louisiana's huge Honey Island Swamp, and hawks their finds to local pawnshops. Dustin, his father D'Roy, his brother James and more of the Taylor clan -- cousins Kacey and Bobo and Daina, Bobo's ex-girlfriend -- search for lost treasures left behind by the kind of pirates, outlaws, gangsters and militiamen that traditionally called this inhospitable environment home. In each 30-minute episode, the Taylors seek fortunes like the remains of a Civil War prison camp, often resorting to explosive tactics to uncover their finds. SWAMP HUNTERS returned for its eight-episode second season on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 10pm ET/PT on CMT. In the season opener, "Bringing Down the House," Dustin, D'Roy, Kacey, Bobo and Daina rev up their 8x8s and travel through bayous, swamps, rivers and woods to get to the island where an old cabin sits that Daina sweet-talked an old codger into letting them search. Bobo finds a trap door in the kitchen floor containing whiskey bottles, a sawed off shotgun and an antique dynamite plunger, leading the gang to believe this homeowner may have been up to no good.

On Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT, CMT debuted a SWAMP PAWN and SWAMP HUNTERS crossover episode. In this special one-hour program, "Wedding Band of Brothers," Dustin and D-Roy (SWAMP HUNTERS) come to the rescue of a fisherman named Nick who has a tendency of getting his boat stuck in the swamp. This time around unfortunately, Nick loses a lot of important items including his wallet and wedding ring. Clayton (SWAMP PAWN) reaches out to Dustin and D-Roy to enlist their help in recovering Nick's prized possessions.
