Plot Synopsis

In each episode of SUPER SAVER SHOWDOWN, two obsessed bargain hunters vie for the $10,000 grand prize by competing against each other, as they each use their coupon clipping, super saving, and DIY skills to throw a stylish party on a very limited budget for a family in need. In the first round, the Super Savers are paired with one member of the family they're playing for, and together they have only $100 and 20 minutes to shop for essential food for the party. The winner of round one takes home a week's worth of free groceries for themselves and their families. In round two, contestants have 48 hours and $100 to plan and throw their parties, as they share their savings tips and DIY tricks with their families. At the end of each episode, host Kristan Cunningham judges the parties based on savings and style, with the winning Super Saver taking home $10,000 cash.
