Plot Synopsis

Targeted at preschoolers, SUPER MONSTERS is a half-hour animated educational series that follows six children of the world's most famous monster -- Drac (son of Dracula), Cleo (daughter of Cleopatra), Lobo, Katya, Zoe, and Frankie (son of Frankenstein's monster) -- as they prepare for kindergarten while learning to master their seemingly untamable super powers through simple readiness skills. These preschoolers are humans during the day but transform into monsters at night. Drac becomes a vampire, Cleo's a mummy, Lobo's a werepuppy, Katya's a witch with a magic wand and a blue cat by her side, Zoe's a little zombie with big brains, and Frankie turns into a super strong, preschool version of Frankenstein's Monster. Whether in the classroom, on the playground or away on a field trip, the Super Monsters experience many (comical) attempts, mistakes and failures before they successfully master their superpowers -- and learn the social skills they need -- so they'll finally be ready for kindergarten! Each half-hour episode features two stories. On Friday, October 13, 2017 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released the entire 10-episode first season of SUPER MONSTERS.

On Friday, August 16, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released "Back to School," a 25-minute SUPER MONSTERS special. The Super Monsters welcome Vida to her new home in Pitchfork Pines with a tour of their favorite places, then help her through her first day at school.

Season 3 of SUPER MONSTERS premiered on Friday, October 4, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Netflix released the entire six-episode third season. The fun-loving Super Monsters learn new lessons -- and make new friends -- while exploring the world around them in Pitchfork Pines. In the season opener, "Moonlight Melody; The Impossible Seed," when Lobo tries to sing, the Blue Moon makes him howl! Vida's plant powers are strong -- but her friends want to help tend the night garden, too.

Netflix released "Super Monsters Save Christmas," a half-hour SUPER MONSTERS holiday special on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT. It's Christmas Eve in Pitchfork Pines, and the Super Monsters are joining forces to deck the halls, find Santa's missing reindeer and save the holiday!

"The New Class," a 25-minute SUPER MONSTERS special, debuted on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT on Netflix. A new class of pint-sized preschoolers arrives at Pitchfork Pines, and the Super Monsters take their superpowers to the next level -- the Purple Room!

On Friday, October 9, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released "Dia de los Monsters," a 25-minute SUPER MONSTERS Halloween special. The Super Monsters celebrate Dia de los Muertos in Vida's hometown with her magical family, some new monster friends and a spook-tacular parade!

SUPER MONSTERS celebrated Christmas 2020 with "Santa's Super Monster Helpers," a 24-minute holiday special that Netflix released on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT. When Santa needs serious help prepping all of his presents, the Super Monsters lend a hand -- and some monster magic -- to get every gift out on time! Voice cast includes: Elyse Maloway, Vincent Tong, Erin Mathews, Andrea Libman, Alessandro Juliani, Nicole Anthony, Diana Kaarina, Gigi Saul Guerrero, Rukiya Bernard, Asia Mattu, and Elicia MacKenzie.
