Plot Synopsis

Sixteen adults compete in battle-of-the-sexes elimination challenges inspired by classic camp games, as they vie for the $250,000 cash prize while living in separate camps, starting summer romances, and sending campers packing. SUMMER CAMP opens with 16 strangers heading to a lakeside retreat in Big Bear, California, where the contestants are assigned to one of two camps based on gender. Then, in each 60-minute episode, the campers mingle at weekly socials, compete in color-war challenges, and send away two campers. At the end of the eight-episode series, the remaining competitors face off in the "Campathalon," an ultimate Olympic style event, with the cash prize split among the remaining contenders of the winning camp. Color-war challenges include canoe races on the lake, a s'mores-inspired competition, an ultimate game of spin the bottle, and so many more camp-inspired games. Plus, in this series, which producers described as REAL WORLD meets SURVIVOR, competitors make friendships, break alliances, and hookup with each other. The 16 competitors are: Mikey Benzaia, a 26-year-old former camper and counselor, who was always one of the popular kids at camp growing up; Meaghan Cooper, a 27-year-old fitness model from San Antonio, who is in her third reality competition and is a former squeeze of Mario Lopez; Erin Cosgrove, a personal trainer and country singer-songwriter, who smoothed out her tomboy edges as a child at summer camp; Chris Grant, a 25-year-old from the Bronx, who redits his time at performing arts camp with helping him to finally shed his baby fat and embrace his crazy side; Melinda Gross, a 26-year-old professional stuntwoman, whose favorite comic book character is Bat Girl; Justin Jackson, a 41-year-old hunter, who has bagged and tagged everything from wild turkeys to ferocious bears; Kyle Kleiboeker, a 25-year-old model and Broadway performer, who comes from a family of NFL athletes; Chuck Lines, an Eagle Scout, who is a self-proclaimed king of the nerds, planning to outthink the competition; Brooke Mangum, a 23-year-old model from Salt Lake City, who was once an overweight ugly duckling and such a tomboy that her family nicknamed her Brock; Isis McKenzie, a 32-year-old professional public speaker and beauty pageant winner, who claims to be a world-class kisser; Moises Ramos, a 26-year-old firefighter and Cuban heartthrob, who prides himself on his ripped physique after being a fat kid; Michelle Schexnayder, a 24-year-old Hooters bartender, who is a power lifter, video-game nut and range-shooting enthusiast; Rachel Spalding, a 27-year-old yoga instrucutor, who always tries to be a "being of positivity"; Cameron Tylor, the country boy from Kentucky, who wants to woo the girls with some country songs and his guitar skills; Lauren Von Drashek, 23-year-old Midwestern student, who is a lifelong hockey player, always speaking her mind no matter how painful the truth might be; and Mike Ward, a 26-year-old former military man and high-school athlete, who did missionary work with his parents in Papua New Guinea.
