Plot Synopsis

SUGAR AND SPARKS is a half-hour series that follows AMERICAN IDOL winner and hobbyist baker Jordin Sparks, as she tries to transform her love for baking into a viable business. On Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Noon ET/PT, Food Network premiered the pilot of SUGAR AND SPARKS, but the cable channel had no other episodes on its schedule at that time. Jordin seeks help from cake master Duff Goldman while she tackles her first professional cupcake order for fellow AMERICAN IDOL veteran Brandon Rogers' album release party. After bringing in her two best friends to help her whip up 100 Orange-Chocolate Cupcakes and 100 Strawberry-Moscato Cupcakes, she soon discovers it's not so easy managing a team and completing a huge order on time.
