Plot Synopsis

Teenager Tessa moves from New York City to the suburbs with her single father George, where they unexpectedly grow closer to each other as they try to survive the horrors of their suburban purgatory. At her new high school, Tessa befriends socially awkward Lisa and she meets Dalia, the trendy school bitch, whose surgically-enhanced mother, Dallas, is an unlikely confidante to Tessa and George. Plus, George learns about the suburbs from Noah, an old college buddy who's been living there for years. But little by little, Tessa and her dad begin finding a way to survive on the clean streets of the 'burbs. In Season 2, Tessa shows a growing interest in her biological mother. Although her frequent trips to NYC leave George suffering from empty nest syndrome, he may embark on a whirlwind romance that would surprise everyone. Plus, Tessa comes to terms with unexpected feelings that have evolved for a certain someone across the street, giving her a chance to bond with her father over their unlikely partners -- and the startling realization that Chatswin might be home after all.

SUBURGATORY returned for its third season on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 8:30pm ET/PT on ABC. In the Season 3 premiere, George tried to rebuild his relationship with Tessa after Alex disappeared by introducing her to his new dog. And when Sheila discovered a dog was on the loose in Chatswin, she dedicated herself to tracking down the canine, while Tessa and George tried to protect him. Meanwhile, Dalia shunned Dallas after her break-up with Daddy Altman.
