Plot Synopsis

Comedian Jon Gabrus goes undercover as a substitute teacher and surprises his unsuspecting students by announcing that, instead of having a normal class, they'll have the chance to win a $5,000 cash prize by competing against each other in a series of trivia and interactive challenges. Each 30-minute episode begins with twenty students divided in classic high school rivalries, such as jocks vs. cheerleaders, athletes vs. geeks, and public school girls vs. private school girls. Then, students participate in four rounds: "Things You Do Know," which includes pop-culture trivia questions, with only ten students moving to the next round; "Things You Should Know," which focuses on subjects such as history, math, literature and politics, with five finalists continuing to play the game; "What The #*?!," which is an interactive challenge where students are strapped into a contraption, such as "The Ping Pong Terror Wheel," "The Ice Factory," and the "The Carnival Cannon," and answer as many questions as possible, with this round's winner competing against "The People's Champ" in the next round; and "What You Think," during which the remaining two competitors answer trivia questions based on polls from high students and contestants. If "The People's Champ" wins, the class splits the ultimate prize of $5,000.
