Plot Synopsis

Created, written, directed and executive produced by Veena Sud, THE STRANGER is a short-form thriller series that centers on Clare and her rideshare passenger, Carl E. It's a story of a boy meets that meets a girl, but in this case he relentlessly stalks and tries to murder her. The story opens with Clare picking up Carl E, a nice young man who lives in a mansion and destined for the airport. Or so it seems. After a crash, Clara leaves Carl E behind, but the cops make a discovery that has her questioning her sanity. On Monday, April 13, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Quibi released the first three episodes. A new episode debuted each weekday thereafter. On Monday, April 15, 2024, Hulu released THE STRANGER as a movie.
