Plot Synopsis

STORM WORLDS imagines the unimaginable, harnessing extreme alien storms and playing them out on planet Earth. The world's top scientists show how Earth is cosmically connected to other planets through weather. By studying other planets in our solar system, we not only learn about the history of our own planet but also experience heart-stopping depictions of what the future might hold in store for us here on Earth. And in doing so, the scale of these storms can be truly understood. Each hour-long episode reveals fascinating new knowledge and discoveries about our own weather and that found on other planets. The wildest examples of the arrival of extra-terrestrial "Deadly Dust", "Alien Wind" and "Cosmic Fire" and their effects on Earth are imagined through astonishing CGI effects which play out these extraordinary storms on our planet. After its world premiere in Canada, this program first aired in the United States when Nat Geo presented three back-to-back episodes on May 16, 2010 from 8-11pm.
