Plot Synopsis

STARTER WIVES CONFIDENTIAL is a reality series that follows six women who saw their relationships fall apart after the men they dated or married went on to become celebrities. These starter wives spent years in the shadow of their famous partners, supporting them emotionally -- sometimes even financially -- as they rose to fame. They raised the children, kept the homes and stood by their men through it all. Now, after the relationship have soured, these exes are moving on with their own lives. The starter wives are: Zakia Baum, who shares a son with her ex, rapper Jermaine "Maino" Coleman, is a devout Christian woman with a flair for the dramatic; Cheryl Caruso, ex-wife of mobster Philly Caruso, raises their two daughters and has rebuilt her life as a business woman by running a tequila business; Josie Harris, ex-girlfriend of boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr., is the mother of three of his children and is trying to start over while figuring out how to co-parent with Floyd; Monica Joseph-Taylor, soon-to-be ex-wife of radio personality Funkmaster Flex, is raising their two children while running the blog "Mommy's Dirty Little Secret"; Liza Morales, ex-girlfriend of NBA baller Lamar Odom, is the mother of their three children and is finding her own voice while she watches her ex's whirlwind romance and tumultuous basketball career; and Tashera Simmons, ex-wife of rapper DMX, is striving to get her life and finances on track and caring for their four children. Shaniqua Tompkins, ex-girlfriend of Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson, was originally cast as one of the starter wives, but she backed out because of a contract she had previously signed with her ex.
