Plot Synopsis

STAN AGAINST EVIL is a zombie comedy series that follows Stan Miller, a disgruntled former police sheriff who must join forces with Evie Barret, the new strong-willed sheriff in town, to valiantly fight a plague of unleashed demons that are haunting their quaint New England town. Stan was forced into retirement and has trouble relinquishing his authority to Evie, but they form an unlikely alliance when both begin to realize things are not quite right in their town, which just happens to be built on the site of a massive 17-century witch burning. And the situation gets worse when Stan's daughter, Denise, goes blueberry picking, returning home with a pet goat, which just happens to also be a demon. IFC airs a sneak peek of the series premiere on Halloween night -- Monday, October 31, 2016 at 11pm ET/PT -- and re-airs the debut episode two days later as the official series premiere on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at 10pm, followed by a new second episode. The eight-episode season season of STAN AGAINST EVIL premiered on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 from 10-11pm ET/PT, as IFC debuted back-to-back new episodes. The new season picks up where the Season 1 finale cliffhanger left off, with Sheriff Evie Barret stranded in the year 1692, accused of being a witch and about to be burned at the stake. Despite his best attempts to never leave his couch, the disgruntled Stan Miller must begrudgingly solve the mystery of Evie's time-travelling disappearance. Throughout the season, the unlikely team battles against the unconventional demons trying to take over their town, which continue to pop up in every size, shape, and animal-form. In the season opener (10pm), "Black Hat Society (Part 1)," Stan begins to solve the mystery of Evie's disappearance and along the way he meets a Wiccan coven. Then, in the night's second new episode (10:30pm), "Black Hat Society (Part 2)," Stan travels back in time to save Evie but her rescue comes at a steep price. Guest stars for Season 2 include: Denise Boutte as Lara Bouchard, a local who may know more about the town's demonic creatures than she lets on; Jeffrey Combs as the Impish Man, a Willard's Mill newcomer who loves nothing more than a good bet; David Koechner as Kenny, Evie's incorrigible ex-husband who, to Evie's dismay, creates a friendship with Stan; Steven Ogg as Rusty, a cowboy from the past who takes a particular liking to Evie; and Patty McCormack as Priscilla, the knowledgeable owner of an antiques store. Season 3 of STAN AGAINST EVIL premiered on IFC with back-to-back new episodes from 10-11pm ET/PT on Halloween Night 2018 (Wednesday, October 31). The new season picks up immediately after the events of the Season 2 finale, with Stan and Evie back in Willard's Mill dealing with the consequences of Stan traveling through time to save his dead wife Claire. In doing so, he inadvertently opened a portal between the Land of the Living and the Land of the Dead... allowing evil forces to truly take over the town and even some of its inhabitants. Although always the skeptic at first, Stan must work with Evie to once more save the town -- even if it means making a literal deal with the devil. New and returning guest stars this season include Scott Adsit, Maria Bamford, Matt Braunger, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Eddie Pepitone.

On Wednesday, November 21, 2018 from 10-11pm ET/PT, IFC premiered the Season 3 finale of STAN AGAINST EVIL, debuting back-to-back new episodes:

"Intensive Scare Unit" (10pm): Stan goes for a prostate exam but must escape when the hospital turns demonic.

"Stan Against Evie" (10:30pm): After killing Eccles, Haurus demands Stan kill Evie for breaking the curse on Willard's Mill. Another demon tells Stan how to defeat Haurus but the cost could be high.
