Plot Synopsis

SPORT SCIENCE tests the best qualities of world-class athletes and compares their performances with easy-to-understand real-life examples. Athletes are invited to a huge airplane hangar outside Los Angeles to compete on a basketball court, baseball testing area, a 50-yard football field, a fight/MMA area, or a cardio gym while CGI, motion-capture technology, high-speed video cameras and biomechanical sensors are used to recreate every body movement. The series attempts to answer questions like: Who has a quicker release, NFL Pro Bowl QB Drew Brees or a gunslinger? Can Seahawks DB Marcus Trufant run faster backwards than a Corvette can drive in reverse? Who has a better choke hold, international MMA superstar Fedor Emelianenko or the deadly Burmese python? Can light heavyweight boxing champion Chad Dawson strike faster than the western diamondback rattlesnake? Is a Ray Lewis bull rush more forceful than a SWAT team battering ram? What is a bigger target, an elite NFL receiver or an elephant?
