Plot Synopsis

After leaving prison, a thirtysomething con man, Marius, takes cover from his past by assuming the identity of his cellmate, Pete. To avoid his debtors, he moves in with Pete's long-estranged, unsuspecting family and is roped into the family's bail bond business. He's a criminal taking down other criminals and, in the process, he'll discover the family life he's never had. As business flags, tensions rise between Pete's grandparents, Otto and Audrey. Marius proposes a risky play to help Julia manage a dangerous client, but when they encounter problems, the "cousins" must rely on Audrey's expertise. While evading a mysterious pursuer, Marius visits former partners Katie and Karolina in NYC and remembers how three years ago, he made a powerful enemy of Vince. On Friday, August 7, 2015, Amazon released the pilot episode of SNEAKY PETE, created by David Shore and Bryan Cranston, with the official series premiere five months later on Friday, January 13, 2017 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT.

Amazon released the ten-episode second season of SNEAKY PETE on Friday, March 9, 2018 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT. In the new season, Marius is on the verge of starting fresh, when two thugs, believing he is Pete, threaten to kill the family unless he takes them to Pete's estranged mother Maggie to recover the eleven million dollars she stole from their mysterious employer. Now Marius must tread a dangerous line to find the elusive Maggie, protect the family, and keep up the Pete con, all while finagling a way to ditch the thugs and keep the money for himself. Meanwhile, Audrey and Otto deal with the fallout from Winslow's death, and Julia struggles to keep her promise to Dockery at the start of the season.

Season 3 of SNEAKY PETE premiered on Friday, May 10, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Netflix released the entire 10-episode new season. Who is Marius Josipovic? Marius himself would like to know. He's feeling a pull toward the Bernhardt family. But he's not part of the family. He's a con-man. The chance to become more like a normal human being is enticing. It also scares him to death. This season all the members of the family explore their identity. It's a dangerous journey. They could lose themselves or their lives. In the season opener, "The Double Up & Back," Marius returns to the farm in hopes of finding a deeper connection with the Bernhardt's but his past soon catches up and tempts him back to the con life. Julia finds herself holding a big secret while serious legal issues put her life and the family business in jeopardy.
