Plot Synopsis

Each one-hour episode of 16 AND PREGNANT documents 3-7 months of one teen's pregnancy, showing the challenges she faces every day: gossip & rumors, marriage & religion, and graduation & a job. This series "focuses on the tremendous inner strength and courage each of these girls display as they sacrifice their teenage years in order to become responsible for another human life." In partnership with The National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy.

16 AND PREGNANT returned for its fifth season on Monday, April 14, 2014 at 10pm ET/PT on MTV. Season introduces viewers to: the star athlete who gets pregnant after a one-night stand and faces the prospect of being forced to move out of her home after the baby is born; a young girl who gives birth to twins and after constant fighting with the father of her children isn't sure he will be there to help her raise them; a teen mother trying to mend her relationship with her own mother who struggles with addiction; and the popular girl who gets pregnant and ends up homeless.
