Plot Synopsis

Based on the novel "El futbol no es" by Javier Tebas (president of La Liga de Futbol Profesional Espanola) and Pedro Torrens, SIDE GAMES (aka TODO POR EL JUEGO) is a one-hour drama series that explores the intricate world of soccer from within, its connections with local politics, the match fixing mafias, the players' complicity in the rigging of matches, the buying and selling of foreign players, and the growing interest of the international mafias in the soccer teams of the second Spanish Division. SIDE GAMES had its U.S. premiere on Monday, July 15, 2019 as a Spectrum Original.

Spectrum released the final three episodes of SIDE GAMES' first season on Monday, July 29, 2019:

"Rienda Suelta" (Episode 6): Mariano decides to cooperate in exchange for entering the new real estate operations of Nuria, and agrees to get rid of the mysterious aggressor, but, at the same time, he must maintain good relations with the Russians.

"Hasta el Cuello" (Episode 7): Mariano knows Dimitri, who is the power in the shadow; In exchange for his complicity, Nuria offers him entry into the real estate business, but Mariano, understanding the extent of the corruption that surrounds him, rejects the offer.

"Las Evoluciones" (Episode 8): Saldana reappears to settle accounts with everyone and makes Mariano understand the reality of his situation; Mariano must make a decision that will be final
