Plot Synopsis

Inspired by true events and an original podcast of the same name, THE SHRINK NEXT DOOR is an eight-episode psychological thriller that follows the decades-long manipulation and exploitation by psychiatrist Dr. Isaac "Ike" Herschkopf and his longtime patient Martin "Marty" Markowitz. Dr. Ike is accompanied by his unsuspecting wife Bonnie Herschkopf and though Marty may be defenseless against Dr. Ike's enticing offerings, his hard-headed sister Phyllis is not. The first three episodes of THE SHRINK NEXT DOOR dropped on Friday, November 12, 2021 on Apple TV+, with the streaming service releasing a new episode each Friday through December 17.
