Plot Synopsis

Created, written, co-directed, and narrated by Vernon Chatman, THE SHIVERING TRUTH is a quarter-hour, dark comedy, stop-motion animated series that features a series of loosely-linked emotional parables about stories within tales that crawled out of the deepest caverns of the unconscious mind. Adult Swim premiered back-to-back new episodes on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at Midnight ET/PT:

"The Nurple Rainbow" (Midnight): Unfortunately, everything in the whole universe just oozed out from Doug Dwyer's head. Starring Kevin Breznahan, Ivy Chatman, Bobby Kelly, and Miriam Tolan.

"The Magmafying Past" (12:15am): The only thing hotter than the future is the present, and the only thing wetter than a present is the itchy glass of molten absolution that just quenched the thrust of Tessa's face. Starring Rachel Butera, Connor O'Malley, Trey Parker, Nicole Redenburg, and Miriam Tolan.

Adult Swim premiered a sneak peek of THE SHIVERING TRUTH's second season as part of the network's April Fools Day programming late night Tuesday, March 31, 2020 (early morning Wednesday, April 1, 2020) at 1:40am ET/PT. This special preview, "Beast of Both Worlds," asks if man is punishing herself for some perceived guilt.

Five weeks later, Adult Swim debuted the official Season 2 premiere of THE SHIVERING TRUTH on Sunday, May 10, 2020 at 11:59pm ET/PT. In this new episode, "The Burn Earner Spits," an emotiomoral X-ray device provides a detailed history of the United States, starting from May 1951 all the way up until tomorrow at 3:30.
