Plot Synopsis

In the orignal stage play, after three sisters -- Vivian, Cynthia and Deniece -- bury their father, they learn from the will that they have a half sister, Allison, that they never knew about. SHE'S STILL NOT OUR SISTER is a four-episode series that picks up with the story of the Walker sisters after they reconciled with Allison, following their more complicated lives as they learn that the millions they received after their father's death cannot buy happiness. Instead of the perfect lives they may have expected, these four women deal with career setbacks, romantic disappointments, charming gold-diggers and self-destructive tendencies. Vivian abruptly quits her job and decides that she is going to Paris, France to finally treat herself with a vacation, where she falls in love with a young Parisian man and brings him home to a hostile response from her sisters. Cynthia and D'Andre are officially engaged, but their relationship is on-off-then-on again as Cynthia learns what it means to trust a man. Deniece finally has enough credit hours to graduate from college and applied to a major law school, but she received a rejection letter the same week as her birthday. Allison has used much of her inheritance to pay off credit-card debt, and is using the rest to support her gambling problem -- but has Elliot Ross as a potential love interest. As their situations become clearer, Cynthia and D'Andre get married, Deniece gets a job offer across the country, and Allison's career is back on track, potentially leaving Vivian in the house by herself as she still deals with her follow-up to her breast cancer scare. With the sisters moving in different directions, they decide it's time to sell the house -- or lease it with Aunt Connie as the landlady -- so they can move on with life.
