Plot Synopsis

Each year since 1950, the SENIOR BOWL has welcomed the country's best senior collegiate football players and top National Football League (NFL) draft prospects on teams representing the North and South. First held at the Gator Bowl in Jacksonville, Florida, the game moved the following year to Ladd Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama, where it has remained. Traditionally held in January as the last college post-season game, the SENIOR BOWL has been scheduled the weekend prior to the Super Bowl since 1967, which sometimes made it the next-to-last game in some years. NFL coaching staffs coach the two Senior Bowl teams each year. The staffs are determined in cooperation with the NFL. The teams with the lowest winning percentage that season usually get the first opportunity to coach in the game, but only if a majority of their staff -- and head coach -- are intact. The 2016 SENIOR BOWL was played on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Ladd Peebles Stadium in Mobile, AL, with kickoff scheduled for 2:30pm ET/11:30am PT on the NFL Network.
