Plot Synopsis

Hosted by Nischelle Turner, SECRET CELEBRITY RENOVATION is a one-hour reality series that features a design team -- interior designer Sabrina Soto (both seasons) and Jason Cameron (Season 1) or Rob "Boston Rob" Mariano (Season 2) -- who set out to help celebrities show their appreciation with a special renovation gift to a meaningful person from their hometown. Celebrities participate in making these heartfelt gifts to someone who helped guide them to success. Season 1 celebs include: Paula Abdul; Lauren Alaina; Wayne Brady; Boomer Esiason; Jesse Tyler Ferguson; Rob Mariano; Chris Paul; Anthony Ramos; and Emmitt Smith. In the series opener, Wayne Brady returns to his roots in Orlando, FL to give his Aunt Lilly, who helped raise him and set him on the path to success, the home makeover of her dreams. Also, a member of *NSYNC makes a surprise guest appearance.

Originally scheduled to debut on Friday, July 22, 2022, Season 2 of SECRET CELEBRITY RENOVATION premiered one week later on Friday, July 29, 2022 at 8pm ET/PT on CBS. SURVIVOR's Rob "Boston Rob" Mariano joins the design team, alongside returning interior designer Sabrina Soto, for the new season. During the series' freshman season, Mariano was among the hands-on celebrities gifting loved ones a heartfelt renovation. He returned home to Boston to surprise his parents, who made great sacrifices to help their son pursue his dreams, with a kitchen and backyard deck make over. This season's featured celebrities who show their gratitude to someone in their hometowns include Utkarsh Ambudkar; Annaleigh Ashford; Devin Booker, Kandi Burruss; Nathan Chen; Aaron Donald; Billy Gardell; Debbie Gibson; Shaquille O'Neal; and Nicole Scherzinger.

On Friday, August 11, 2023 from 8-10pm ET/PT, CBS premiered the third season of SECRET CELEBRITY RENOVATION, debuting a special two-hour episode. Host Nischelle Turner provides stars with a hands-on opportunity to show their gratitude to someone in their hometowns who has had a significant impact on their life's journey. Rob "Boston Rob" Mariano, home improvement contractor and television personality and interior designer Sabrina Soto return to the design team. The special two-hour premiere featured Phil Keoghan (8pm) and Max Thieriot (9pm). Additional Season 3 celebrity guests include: JB Smoove, Beth Behrs, NFL player Damar Hamlin, Niecy Nash, Davante Adams, and Elle King.

On Friday, September 29, 2023 at 8pm ET/PT, CBS premiered the Season 3 finale of SECRET CELEBRITY RENOVATION, Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Elle King. King returns to her roots to surprise her "Pawpaw," who has always been her biggest fan, with a transformation of the Wellston, Ohio home he has lived in for nearly 50 years. During a break from the renovation, Elle takes the team to Rowdy's Smokehouse where the whole town is eagerly waiting for a special performance from the country superstar.
