Plot Synopsis

Talent scouts travel across the United States, trying to discover the next supermodel in sorority houses, rodeos, county fairs, fast food restaurants, high schools, beaches and practically everywhere else in large cities and small towns. Each 60-minute episode of SCOUTED follows the stories of two aspiring models -- from the time local talent scouts find the young women and put them through preliminary training and polishing, and possibly through meetings in New York City, which includes a professional evaluation by industry experts and time with decision makers at One Management, who evaluate each model's professionalism, physical features, high-fashion polish, spokesperson potential and uniqueness. Sometimes the models advance far enough through the process to get advice directly from supermodels like Bar Refaeli, but other times the women never make it to New York because of their own issues -- an overbearing mom-ager or their own erratic behavior. The local talent scouts are: Kristen Kotik, the director of scouting for Stars Model Management in San Francisco, who traveled Europe and Asia as a Milan-based model and who has discovered/developed Jamie Rishar, Amy Wesson, James King, Bridget Hall and Danielle Z; Erin Olson, a working mom at Salt Lake City's Trudi Tapscott Model Management, who worked as a model, scout, agency owner and fashion writer and who has discovered Hannah Sobisky, Wyatt Grossenbach, Brenna Deyong, and Erin Perry; Page Parkes, co-owner of Page Parkes Corporation servicing Dallas and Houston, who is an industry veteran and household name among the insiders of the modeling and fashion worlds and who has discovered and represented clients like Channing Tatum and Alexis Bledel; and Stacie Vanchieri, President of Modelogic Wilhelmina in Richmond, Virginia, who started in the business as a photographer and who has discovered and represented Amy Lemons, Buddy Kruger and Boris Kodjoe. The team of NYC experts includes: industry expert Michael Flutie, as Creative Director; legendary model Beri Smither, the Model Mentor; trendsetter and fashion expert Dani Stahl, the Image and Style Consultant; and top industry casting director Julia Samersova, the Director of Scouting.
