Plot Synopsis

This half-hour reality series follows chef Rusty Hamlin -- and the Grammy award-winning Zac Brown Band -- as they tour the United States and cook up gourmet, locally-sourced cuisine for loyal fans for their famous Eat & Greets. At every tour stop, Chef Rusty and his rock-star culinary team cook up southern cuisine in a state-of-the-art, 18-wheel mobile kitchen named Cookie, and then serve an intimate, one-of-a-kind, sit-down meal for a few hundred fans of the Zac Brown Band. This series documents the entire meal process, beginning with Chef Rusty and his team arriving in a new city on the band's tour. The culinary team then only has a few hours to source all the ingredients needed for the meal. They explore local farms and markets, and with each menu improvised on the spot from the freshest ingredients available that day, every tour stop presents a new set of obstacles for Chef Rusty and his intrepid team to overcome. To make sure the fans have an experience they won't forget, they never serve the same menu twice. Each 30-minute episode features a different tour stop, including: Dallas, where they serve Southwestern Berkshire Pork Sausage with jalapenos and "Not Your Mama's Monkeybread" with apples and dark rum caramel; Quincy, WA, where they dish out the tastiest Cold Water Oyster Soup and Seattle King River Salmon via the infamous Pike Place Market; and other towns like Chula Vista (CA), Phoenix, and more U.S. cities.
On Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 11pm ET/PT, FYI premiered the season finale of RUSTY'S ROCKFEAST. In the season ender, "The Ten Best Bites on Tour," Chef Rusty and his crew return home for a little rest before getting together to break bread and reflect on all the amazing Eat & Greets. Plus, they count down the 10 best bites on tour from Season 1.
