Plot Synopsis

Will these four romantically challenged friends ever find lasting love? Rebecca, her sister Lisa, her friend Perry and Perry's best friend Shawn are all looking for love, and they each have their own issues to deal with. Rebecca is a recently divorced Pittsburgh lawyer with a 15-year-old-son, and she hasn't had a date since Clinton was in office -- during his first term. Now that she's ready to enter the dating scene, she's relying on her equally hapless friends for advice and pointers. Her best friend Perry is a successful financial planner and a hopeless romantic whose "favorite movie is probably THE NOTEBOOK followed by DEAR JOHN," according to star Kyle Bornheimer. Perry's BFF and roommate is the irresponsible and out-of-work slacker/writer, Shawn, who is an emotionally unavailable cynic who has never had a relationship more serious than a three-night stand. Lisa is Rebecca's sassy and over-protective sister whose day job as a nurturing kindergarten teacher is a stark contrast to her night-time love life where a threesome is "second base."
