Plot Synopsis

ROAD TO WESTMINSTER DOG SHOW is a two-part special that goes behind the scenes in the months leading up to the prestigious Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. The Westminster Kennel Club dog show has a rich history as the most prestigious dog event in America. Every year thousands of dedicated breeders, owners and handlers make their way to New York City in the hopes of winning this premiere event. Before they make it to Westminster however, there are countless hours of training, grooming and travel as they work to earn championship titles, qualifying wins and top rankings. Throughout the year this series visits dog shows, agility and obedience trials across the country to introduce viewers to some of these dedicated people as they travel on their Road to Westminster. Stops include: Ladies Kennel Association of America, Oyster Bay, NY; World Series of Dog Shows, Houston, TX; Breeder Series: Bill Shelton, Pomona, CA; and Santa Barbara Kennel Club Dog Show, Santa Barbara, CA.
