Plot Synopsis

REV RUN'S SUNDAY SUPPERS is a half-hour reality series that follows Rev Run and Justine Simmons, as they get family and friends together for weekly Sunday dinners, by using heartfelt recipes to lure the kids back home. From Justine's Famous Lasagna to Rev's BBQ, each 30-minute episode unveils a new recipe to be shared. Along the way, Justine enlists Miley's help so she can learn the family recipes and pass them on for years to come, while they make meals that satisfy Diggy's farm-to-table ways and Angela's vegetarian diet. On Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 8pm ET/5pm PT, Cooking Channel premiered the second season of REV RUN'S SUNDAY SUPPERS, as Justine and Rev Run head back into the kitchen for more family, food and fun. In the premiere episode, after dreaming of a delicious, cheesy pizza topped with pepperoni and sausage several nights in a row, Rev decides to bake up his first pie. In order to do it right, he pays a little visit to the local pizzeria for some tips. While Rev's on pizza duty, Justine makes some zesty Stuffed Artichokes and a beautiful Caprese Salad that will be sure to fulfill Rev's dream of a perfect pizza paradise! Rev Run and the family are back as they share all the food and fun through thirteen episodes, including Rev cooking up some of his favorite childhood dishes with a new spin on Sloppy Joes, gourmet Homemade Potato Chips and a "Turn That Frown Upside Down" Pound Cake. And don't miss as Justine creates a jazzy Sunday Supper featuring Seafood Gumbo with Basmati Rice in honor of Rev's oldest brother Danny, a known artist and poet, along with Uncle Danny's favorite German Chocolate Cake for dessert. Season 3 of REV RUN'S SUNDAY SUPPERS premiered on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 10pm ET/7pm PT on Cooking Channel. In the 13-episode third season, Rev and Justine use simple, heartfelt recipes to lure the kids back to the house for the Simmons' Sunday dinner, to show that the perfect family meal isn't just about the food, it's about who is sitting at the table to share it. In the premiere episode, Justine wants to recreate traditional English high tea, from flaky scones with strawberry jam to her favorite finger sandwiches, including cucumber with herb butter and smoked salmon with creme fraiche. But with Rev's buddy Perry coming over for dinner, he is worried that this British tradition may not be Perry's cup of tea. To make sure Perry is satisfied, the guys chip in and make their own finger sandwiches -- Parmesan meatball sliders. In subsequent episodes Rev and Justine create restaurant-worthy maki sushi rolls for the family, and Justine and Rev prepare succulent cracked crab in a buttery garlic sauce, served with rich garlic noodles and finished with a gourmet banana ice cream and fudge sauce for date night while the kids are out of the house. Plus this season, Rev realizes his dream of creating a Sunday Supper stay-cation with an at-home Hawaiian luau, featuring Justine's Green Papaya Salad and Rev's favorite banana leaf steamed pork. Rev and Justine show viewers that for the Simmons family a good time always starts with amazing food.
