Plot Synopsis

RENOVATION REALITIES: DALE JR. & AMY is a four-part reality series that follows third-generation race car champion and NBC Sports NASCAR analyst Dale Earnhardt Jr. and his wife Amy, an interior designer, as they transform a dilapidated 150-year-old historic home in Key West, Florida into a gorgeous coastal retreat. During the season, Dale Jr. and Amy restore the neglected property to its original charm, from excavating faulty plumbing to whitewashing century-old bricks that will be used to build a bathroom accent wall. To create the perfect vacation home, the couple and their construction team will open the main level to provide a large entertaining space and will reconfigure the two-story floorplan to add a guest bedroom and two bathrooms. In addition, the backyard will be converted into an idyllic tropical getaway complete with an outdoor kitchen, dining area, pool and hot tub.

On Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 9pm ET/PT, DIY Network premiered "Backyard Oasis," the season finale of RENOVATION REALITIES: DALE JR. & AMY, immediately following an encore presentation of the first three episodes from 7:30-9pm. In the season ender, Dale and Amy set out to transform their backyard jungle into a perfect space to entertain family and friends. They create the tile backsplash and a sink out of reclaimed materials and find a clever way to use a surfboard as a shower. Dale enjoys operating the excavator to dig out space for the pool, but the Florida heat rivals his experience in a race car.
