Plot Synopsis

QANON: THE SEARCH FOR Q started as a three-part, three-night documentary event series that explores the who, what, and why of the viral movement QAnon. In the series opener, "What Is Q?," to understand what Q is and why it has been so enormously popular, hosts Bayan Joonam and Marley Clements get to know the most influential QAnon evangelists. Then, in the second episode, "Who Is Q?," in an effort to determine if Q was created as an elaborate hoax or clandestine operation, Bayan and Marley are forced into the dangerous world of internet trolls. Finally, in "Why Does Q Exist?," Bayan and Marley examine Q's impact on the American electorate as Q theories spread from the far-right to the far-left, and as more crimes are committed in the name of Q. QANON: THE SEARCH FOR Q was available on YouTube on Monday, January 25, 2021 -- one day before its official debut on VICE.

QANON: THE SEARCH FOR Q returned for a second season on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at 10pm ET/PT on VICE. In the season opener, "Killing Q," Bayan Joonam and Marley Clements investigate QAnon and Q. QAnon posted a month before Jan. 6, and fueled by conspiracies about a stolen election and COVID-19, the movement remains alive.
