Plot Synopsis

Hosted by former NFL quarterback and Season 5 Bachelor Jesse Palmer, each one-hour episode of THE PROPOSAL features 10 eligible daters competing in four pageant-style rounds to win the heart of a mystery suitor or "suitress," whose identity is concealed from them. The male or female daters attempt to woo the mystery suitor with their words in a first impressions round; bare their souls in a beachwear round; answer the mystery suitor's most pressing romantic questions; and strive to receive a seal of approval from the mystery suitor's most trusted family member in the final round. After each phase, the daters who fail to connect with the mystery suitor are whittled down, leading to the dramatic and highly anticipated reveal, when the two remaining daters finally meet the mystery suitor for the first time and present a romantic proposal of their choice. Will there be a marriage proposal that can't be refused? In the series opener, 10 eligible women selected by a blue-ribbon panel of matchmakers vie for a chance at love with a mystery gentleman in search of his soul mate. By the end of the night, the mystery gentleman will propose to one of two remaining women, and the newly acquainted couple will trust fate and exit the stage possibly engaged to be married.

On Monday, August 27, 2018 at 10pm ET/PT, ABC premiered the season finale of THE PROPOSAL. In the season ender, nine eligible gentlemen selected by a blue-ribbon panel of matchmakers vie for the heart of a mystery woman looking for a man that is the perfect mix of Mr. Rogers and Christian Grey. Over the course of the evening, only two lucky gentlemen will have the opportunity to make a proposal of a lifetime.
