Plot Synopsis

PROMISELAND is a six-episode docusries that follows 2020 NBA rookie sensation Ja Morant, chronicling his young professional career -- from the eve of his NBA debut through his Rookie of the Year crowning -- while highlighting the experiences of his debut season, which was not just a challenging year for live basketball, but for humanity. Apart from the suspension of his sport, the young point guard must grapple with a world utterly transformed by a global pandemic and the urgent call for racial justice. Guest stars include Carmelo Anthony, A'ja Wilson and more. The first three episodes dropped on Crackle on Thursday, June 3, 2021, with the final three episodes debuting two weeks later on Thursday, June 17.
