Plot Synopsis

The central focus of the Pro Football Hall of Fame Festival celebration is the Enshrinement Ceremony, where each newly elected football legend takes center stage and shares with the audience his innermost emotions and career experiences in a heartfelt and emotional acceptance speech.

The Class of 2013 included Larry Allen, Cris Carter, Curley Culp, Jonathan Ogden, Bill Parcells, Dave Robinson, and Warren Sapp, who were formally inducted during the Enshrinement Ceremony at Canton's Fawcett Stadium on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at 7pm ET/4pm PT, which was broadcast live on ESPN2 and NFL Network.

On Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 7pm ET/4pm PT the 2014 PRO FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME INDUCTION was simulcast on ESPN2 and NFL Network, welcoming the Class of 2014: Derrick Brooks, Ray Guy, Claude Humphrey, Walter Jones, Andre Reed, Michael Strahan and Aeneas Williams.

At 7pm ET/4pm PT on Saturday, August 8, 2015, ESPN and NFL Network simulcast live coverage of the 2015 PRO FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME INDUCTION, featuring the Class of 2015 (in order of enshrinement): Ron Wolf, Charles Haley, Mick Tingelhoff, Will Shields, Bill Polian, Tim Brown, Junior Seau and Jerome Bettis.

NFL Network and ESPN simulcast the 2016 PRO FOOTBALL ENSHRINEMENT CEREMONY on Saturday, August 6 at 7pm ET/4pm PT, with these inductees: Eddie DeBartolo Jr. (presenter: daughter Lisa); Tony Dungy (presenter: former teammate Donnie Shell); Brett Favre (presenter: wife Deanna); Kevin Green (presenter: former coach Don Capers); Marvin Harrison (presenter: Colts owner Jim Irsay); Orlando Pace (presenter: son Justin); Ken Stabler (presenter: former coach John Madden); and Dick Stanfel (presenter: former coach Marv Levy).

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 and 2021 ceremonies were held back-to-back days in August 2021 in Canton, Ohio as part of the Pro Football Hall of Fame weekend. Both ceremonies were hosted by Rich Eisen and Steve Wyche:

2020 PRO FOOTBALL ENSHRINEMENT CEREMONY (Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 6:30pm ET/3:30pm PT on ESPN and NFL Network): The 2020 Pro Football Hall of Fame Class features Steve Atwater, Isaac Bruce, Harold Carmichael, Jimbo Covert, Bill Cowher, Bobby Dillon, Cliff Harris, Winston Hill, Steve Hutchinson, Edgerrin James, Jimmy Johnson, Alex Karras, Troy Polamalu, Steve Sabol, Donnie Shell, Duke Slater, Mac Speedie, Ed Sprinkle, Paul Tagliabue and George Young.

2021 PRO FOOTBALL ENSHRINEMENT CEREMONY (Sunday, August 8, 2021 at 7pm ET/4pm PT on ESPN and NFL Network): The 2021 Pro Football Hall of Fame Class features Alan Faneca, Tom Flores, Calvin Johnson, John Lynch, Peyton Manning, Bill Nunn, Drew Pearson and Charles Woodson.

On Saturday, August 5, 2023 from Noon-3pm ET/9am-Noon PT, ESPN and NFL Network aired the 2023 PRO FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME ENSHRINEMENT CEREMONY at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, OH. The Class of 2023 is comprised of eight players and one coach: Ronde Barber, cornerback; Darrelle Revis, cornerback; Joe Thomas, offensive tackle; Zach Thomas, linebacker; DeMarcus Ware, outside linebacker; Don Coryell, coach (contributor); Chuck Howley, linebacker (senior); Joe Klecko, defensive lineman (senior); and Ken Riley, cornerback (senior).
