Plot Synopsis

Tom Pizzica travels the nation looking for the most jaw-dropping, eye-popping -- and occasionally heart-stopping -- foods in the country. Along the way Pizzica unearths the overtly oversized (60-inch pizzas; 105-pound burgers; 72-inch burritos), the absurdly spicy (Ninja sushi rolls; BBQ sauce), the ridiculously pricey (Kobe burgers with black truffles, foie gras and gold) and the blatantly bizarre (corn-on-the-cob flavored ice cream; alligator corn dog). OUTRAGEOUS FOOD was originally a one-time special, hosted by NEXT FOOD NETWORK STAR Season 4 winner Aaron McCargo Jr., that aired on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 10pm on Food Network. When the program became a series, Tom Pizzica, runner-up in Season 6 of THE NEXT FOOD NETWORK STAR, became the host. After airing a series sneak peek on Sunday, October 31, 2010 at 10pm, Food Network aired the official series premiere five days later on Friday, November 5, 2010 at 10pm.
