Plot Synopsis

Larry the Cable Guy crisscrosses the nation, going totally off the beaten path to find the people, places and things that define this country's unique history. Whether he visits Monowi, Nebraska -- a town with a population of one -- or a sprawling metropolis like New York City, Larry takes part in and uncovers surprising information about America's history: he competes in a a Mark Twain-style frog race in Calaveras County, CA; he learns how moonshine-making during Prohibition gave rise to NASCAR racing; he hears the history of etiquette from Emily Post's heirs in Vermont, complete with a lesson in good manners; he discovers dog sledding in the icy lakes of Minnesota; and he gets a kick out of Mule Day in Tennessee. In Season 3, which premiered on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at 9pm ET/PT, Larry and his crew celebrate the modern-day black-gold rush in Williston, ND; delves into America's celebrity obsession by banding up with the paparazzi in Hollywood, CA; scours the Florida wilderness for poisonous snakes to bring to the Serpentarium, where Larry helps extract medicinal venom; and much more.
