Plot Synopsis

In the first half of Season 1, host and comedian Eric Schwartz approached people in public, asked trivia questions, fielded responses, and revealed the right answers with entertaining, educational, and informative explanations. ON THE SPOT replaced Eric midway through Season 1, using the same format but using an off-camera narrator instead of an on-camera host. The questions come from the categories of science, math, English, history, art, geography, sports, culture, technology, food, health, politics, and more. This half-hour, weekly, syndicated series (check local listings for channel and time) looks for participants at places like the Glendale Galleria and the Farmers Market in Los Angeles. ON THE SPOT returned for its third season on Saturday, September 21, 2013.

During the weekend starting on Saturday, September 20, 2014, ON THE SPOT returned for its fourth season with a new episode, "Globetrotting, Identify This, Untold History."
