Plot Synopsis

OFFBEAT EATS WITH JIM STACY is a half-hour reality series that follows Jim Stacy as he travel across the United States, celebrating America's roadside rebel chefs, the people who create quirky eateries that are off the beaten path and serving up deliciously offbeat food and experiences. From hidden local gems to restaurants doing surprising new things, OFFBEAT EATS is a roadmap to restaurants that are a little hard to find but always worth the journey, but for Jim, it's all about the people he meets and the nostalgia he encounters along the way. Throughout the series Jim's travels take him to some of the most unique and adventurous spots around -- from Oakland to Boca Raton to Falls Church, Virginia -- and his stops include: a restaurant in Seattle with circus-like decor that serves carnival-inspired dishes; a Louisville fan-favorite destination that is one part old-school arcade and one part gastro-pub; and a restaurant in San Francisco's Mission district that includes an indoor mini-golf course; an upscale French bistro that happens to be located in a gas station in North Carolina; and many more offbeat eateries in surprising places across America.
