Plot Synopsis

ODD SQUAD is a half-hour series designed to help kids ages 5-8 learn math. The show focuses on two young agents, Olive and Otto, who are part of the Odd Squad, an agency whose mission is to save the day whenever something unusual happens in their town. A math concept is embedded in each of their cases, as Olive and Otto work together to problem-solve and correct the oddity du jour in each episode. Olive and Otto solve cases ranging from disappearing zeroes to runaway dinosaurs, and the agents often find additional clues in the Mathroom, a futuristic space that is just a teleport away. Twelve-year-old veteran Agent Olive has been with the squad for approximately 12 years. Whip-smart and confident, Olive usually reacts stone-faced to the oddness since she's seen it all before -- but she's not above having fun. Rookie Agent Otto just joined up with the squad and is seeing all this weird, unusual, bizarre stuff for the first time and loving every minute of it. While Olive is cool and calculating, Otto usually goes with his gut. The duo works with: Ms. O, the director of Odd Squad, who gives Olive and Otto their assignment at the beginning of each episode; Agent Oscar, who runs the Odd Squad lab and provides gadgets to help with missions; and many other Agents.
