Plot Synopsis

By using unique starlight, thermal and infrared cameras deployed throughout fields and forests -- often with remotely operated cameras suspended above and on the ground -- NIGHT STALKERS reveals jaguars, crocodiles, leopards and hyenas as they hunt in darkness. Wildlife camera crews travel to: Costa Rica on the hunt for pumas, ocelots and the elusive jaguar; Sri Lanka and Kenya to expose the real nature and behavior of crocodiles; Yala National Park on the small island of Sri Lanka on the trail of one of the highest leopard populations in the world; and Kenya's Masai Mara National Reserve to track packs of hyenas hunting cooperatively to take down migrating wildebeest and zebra. Nat Geo Wild aired the U.S. premiere of this series on Monday, December 12, 2011 at 10pm ET/PT, the second day of BIG CAT WEEK, and showed the final three episodes back-to-back-to-back on Sunday, December 18, 2011 from 8-11pm ET/PT.
