Plot Synopsis

For this daily morning program, host Roland Martin culls material from the third hour of his nationally syndicated radio program, featuring a broad spectrum of experts, newsmakers and celebrities who will share their insights on current affairs. Plus, NEWS ONE NOW will implement Skype Net, allowing various hosts of other Radio One network programs to discuss the show's content and inform the audience on hot topics in their respective regions. When NEWS ONE NOW premiered on Monday, November 4, 2013 at 9am ET on TV One, it was based in Washington, D.C.

On Election Night 2016 (Tuesday, November 8) from 7pm-1am ET/4-10pm PT, TV One broadcast a live, six-hour special, with host Roland S. Martin reporting from the heart of Washington, DC at one of the city's top restaurants along the U Street corridor. Martin will focus on the intense presidential election as well as political races affecting the African-American community nationwide. Martin will chat with political panelists about Republican Presidential Nominee Donald Trump's and Democratic Presidential Nominee Hillary Clinton's election trail performances, President Barack Obama's legacy as the first African-American President, and First Lady of the United States Michelle Obama's many iconic speeches throughout this election cycle. Political heavyweights, civil rights activists, Black Lives Matter activists, and celebrity guests confirmed to participate include the following:
