Plot Synopsis

THE NEW AMERICANS follows people over a four-year period as they immigrate from their homelands and start their new lives in the United States. The series focuses on: two Nigerian families who resettle in Chicago to escape persecution; two Dominican prospects for the LA Dodgers; a Mexican meatpacker reuniting his family in Kansas; an Indian couple who survived the dot.com boom and bust in Silicon Valley; and a Palestinian woman who marries and settles into a new life in Chicago.
