Plot Synopsis

The Hellmans are an average American family with just one exception -- they're from Hell. Since he has encyclopedic and forbidden knowledge of human television, Balthazor Hellman was sent to Earth by Satan to stop humans from drilling into the Underworld. Unfortunately, Balthazar is a lovable torturer with a soft spot for the human race, and he may not be the ideal demon for the job. Balthazor is joined by his family. His no-nonsense wife, Tina, is not thrilled with their assignment since she must spend time with suburban housewives so she spends her days drinking Chardonnay and cruising the Internet for celebrity gossip. Josh and Mandy are typical teenagers in Hell -- and on Earth. Josh enjoys playing videogames, setting fires and conversing with animals while Mandy has boys wrapped around her finger and her fingers wrapped around her cell phone. The bizarre Uncle Vlartaark is the flamboyant, mink-jockstrap-wearing, granny-grabbing, and most immature member of the family while Pazuzu -- a goblin in Hell but the family dog on Earth -- is really the brains of the bunch and enjoys Lady Gaga, Ranch dressing and the occasional spin in the microwave.
