Plot Synopsis

Hosted by Liam McHugh each Sunday night from Studio 3 at NBC Sports Group's International Broadcast Center in Stamford, CT, NBCSN SUNDAY SPORTS REPORT is a weekly, one-hour program that showcases news and highlights of the sports properties that primarily aired on NBC and NBCSN that day and the previous week, including the Olympics and Olympic sports, NFL, NASCAR, NHL, Premier League, golf, Triple Crown horse racing, Notre Dame Football, Formula One, IndyCar and more. In addition to in-studio highlights, the SPORT REPORT also features reports, commentary and interviews from analysts and experts. During the NFL season, the program includes post-game reports and commentary from the site of Sunday Night Football featuring Cris Collinsworth, Josh Elliott, and Hines Ward, as well as interviews from Michele Tafoya. McHugh, Mike Milbury, Keith Jones and Pierre McGuire talk pucks during NHL season. Rick Allen, Jeff Burton, Marty Snider and Kelli Stavast provide regular NASCAR reports, while Rebecca Lowe, Robbie Earl, Robbie Mustoe and Kyle Martino provide Premier League commentary. The first episode, which aired at 11:30pm ET/8:30pm PT on Sunday, August 17, 2014 on NBCSN, was expected to cover Premier League opening weekend, NFL headlines, NASCAR Michigan 400, and the 2014 Youth Olympic Games. Plus, the program will feature live and taped remote reports from: Josh Elliott interviewing four-time Olympic gold-medalist Missy Franklin; Rebecca Lowe, and analysts Robbie Earle and Robbie Mustoe commenting on the Premier League; nalysis of the NASCAR Michigan 400 from Kyle Petty; and a look around the NFL pre-season with Mike Florio.
