Plot Synopsis

Filmed in high-definition over the course of two years, "Nature's Most Amazing Event's" chronicles breathtaking natural events and animal footage. Just like in "Planet Earth," this series uses time-lapse and macro photography to document events that are triggered by seasonal and climate changes -- from the flooding of the Okavango Delta in Africa to the great summer melt of ice in the Arctic. Also, the filmmakers waited patiently -- sometimes sitting nearly motionless for days to get a single shot -- to capture footage of tiny grizzly bear cubs emerging from their den in snow-covered mountains, baby elephants struggling to survive against drought and lion attack in Africa, and humpback whales hunting as a team. Aired in the UK with the title, "Nature's Great Events."
