Plot Synopsis

In this half-hour series, Nadiya Hussain shares her favorite recipes for classic bakes with a twist. Everyday cupcakes are transformed into ice cream flavored, fun-filled treasures that are guaranteed to make everyone smile. Throughout the series, Nadiya also wants to shine a spotlight on the skills of some of England's incredible bakers and pastry makers. In the series opener, "Classics with a Twist," a traditional scone is given a modern remix in a blueberry scone pizza that might just change the way people think about cream teas forever. Meanwhile a spicy Asian kick takes a traditional toad in the hole to a new level, to create a comforting savory classic. Finally, the traditional sponge is taken up a notch, with mango and coconut flavors that are quite simply sunshine on a plate. This week, pastry maestro and Instagram sensation Julie Jones shows us her awe-inspiring pie decorations that are edible works of art. NADIYA BAKES had its U.S. premiere on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Netflix released the entire eight-episode first season.
